The earliest letter, dated April 28, 1986 is on Trump's personal stationery and reads, in part: 'I truly admire you for the outstanding work you have done for New York. You are a great man and a great Senator. Sincerely, Donald.' The next letter, dated November 17, 1987, is on Trump Organization stationery and reads, in part: 'Dear Pat, Many thanks for the copy of Family And Nation. I am looking forward to reading it; this is a subject that touches all of us who care. Sincerely, Donald.' The third letter, dated September 13, 1990, also on Trump Organization stationery reads, in part: 'Thank you for sending me a personally inscribed copy of your book, On The Law Of Nations. As our most scholarly of Senators and a man I have the utmost admiration and respect for, I think this book will be most enlightening. Sincerely, Donald.' Interestingly, in the latter two letters, Trump crosses out the typed 'Senator Moynihan' in the salutation and writes 'Pat' over it.
