Born Giovanni Battista Montini. Elected Pope in 1963. As pope, he issued encyclicals for clerical celibacy and against artificial birth control. Spiritual card from the mid fifties, measuring 4 x 6 closed, with an image of Cardinal Montini on the front, with a pre-printed signature inside. Signed underneath his image in fountain pen, 'G. B.
