In full, 'Th: Jefferson presents his compliments to Genl Dearborne and his thanks for his communication. He thinks Genl. Dearborne said it was by permission of Dr. Jarvis. If so, Th: J. asks the favor of Genl. D. to make his thanks acceptable to Dr. Jarvis also.'
