Displayable Oscar Wilde ANS

Irish writer and leader of the Aesthetic Movement, author of The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Happy Prince, etc., whose career and health were shattered by his imprisonment on charges of sodomy. ANS, one page, 4.25 x 7, Lyric Club letterhead, no date. Brief note, probably to an admirer. In full, 'Dear Ms. Horden, With very great pleasure.' Double matted and archivally framed, with the original mailing envelope addressed in Wilde's hand and a nice portrait of the author, to an overall size of 19.5 x 19.5. In fine condition, with a bisecting horizontal mailing fold and a few trivial spots of toning. COA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
