Sutcliffe's original hand written notes on an off-white 8 x 10 sheet removed from one of his sketchbooks submitted as an applicant for admission to the Royal College of Art, which was the property of the Sutcliffe estate and was sold at Bonhams auction in July 2003. Sutcliffe has taken notes on 'The Golden Means,' writing in both ink and pencil. Reverse bears two sketches of human figures, several doodles and a couple of math notations, all in Sutcliffe's hand. In fine condition, with some expected scattered light soiling and toning and rough edge from removal from workbook. COA Roger Epperson and RRAuction COA.
