Superb set of eighty Royal Air Force commemorative covers, all bearing attractive cachets, each bearing between two and six different signatures, totalling 275 German Luftwaffe aces and other famous German military autographs from both World Wars. From the mid 1970's, this is one of only 100 sets from this unique project by Hans Rossbach. Each numbers RAF cover illustrates an early airplane that helped to make aviation history such as the Spitfire, Sopwith Camel, Douglas Dakota, Hawker Hurricane and many more. All the covers are boldly signed and contain unsigned photos of the aviators. Notable signers include: Willy Messerschmit, Hans Ulrich Rudel, Otto Skorzeny, Fritz Wendel, Hanna Reitsch, Karl Bodenschatz, Erich Hartmann, Alexander Lippisch, Albert Speer, Adolf Galland, Wernher Von Braun, Gerd Achgelis, Kurt Tank, Gerd Barkhorn, Theo Osterkamp and many others.
