Hunter, trapper and interpreter for the Pawnee Indians, Buffalo Bill's partner in the Wild West Show. ALS signed 'G.W. Lillie,' in pencil, one page, 5.5 x 8.5, Pawnee Bill's Buffalo Ranch letterhead with the pale green buffalo background, August 6, 1928. In a letter to 'Friend Reurers' (?) at the Odds and Ends Shop in Saint Paul, Lillie writes, in part, 'Under separate cover I am sending the clippings. I endorsed the first as best I could. That paper was hard to write on with a pen.' Also included is the original mailing envelope, addressed in fountain pen in Lillie's hand. In fine condition with expected age/handling wear to the envelope. RRAuction COA.
