D.,' on the reverse of a 10 x 8 address panel, no date, written to his son. In full, 'I am pleased to hear that you have commenced selling goods and that you are coming on so well, keep steady to your business and all will go right and straight.' Deringer's signature of his last name appears again in the actual address, 'John H. Deringer, Esq.'
