Mexican general and politician. Santa Anna is one of the most interesting figures in Mexican political history, having been president - dictator of Mexico some ten times during his career. He is best known in the US for his slaughter of many Americans at the Alamo. DS, signed 'Ant. Lopez de Santa Anna,' one page, 8.25 x 12, September 19, 1829. Document, in Spanish, signed as Army commander, praising a private citizen's valor in support of military action.
