On the reverse is written, 'Given to me personally by President A. Lincoln, Dec. 2nd 1864, Jos. H. Stiner, Brevet-Maj, U. S. Vol.' In very good condition, with light toning and soiling, light moisture staining affecting several letters of text and a clear though somewhat light signature.
