Twice signed Eli Whitney document, written in his hand

Inventor of the cotton gin and pioneer of mass production. DS, one page, 8 x 5, June 30, 1806. Document written in Whitney's hand, for supplies purchased by another gentleman, including a pick axe as well as six other picks. Whitney boldly signs at the bottom, and his signature appears again at the top of the document. In very good condition, with some light soiling, vertical fold through portion of last name, a small water stain touching the 'E,' and the left side separated and repaired on the reverse.
