Description

Unbound NASA manual entitled “Flight Director’s Report, Apollo 11,” 25 pages, 8.5 x 11, signed on the front cover in black ink, “‘There is no such thing as good enough,’ Eugene F. Kranz, Flight.” The report contains sections for all 25 mission shifts — from ‘Countdown Shift’ to ‘Entry’ — as well as an opening list of eight general comments, which read, in part: “1. The launch mission rules contain too many mandatory LM measurements as a flight control requirement. / 2. The T-15 minute comm checks are not consistent with the MCC requirement for liftoff. / 3. If Apollo 12 intends to do a SM RCS hot fire in earth orbit, they should probably use accel cmd. Apollo 11 did not really hear the thruster firings.” The cover sheet bears facsimile signatures of the four flight directors. In fine condition, with some edgewear.
