Diverse space archive of over 50 items from the collection of NASA scientist Frederick J. Mitchell, a member of the Lunar Receiving Laboratory ‘Lunar Quarantine Team’ for the Apollo program, which includes a variety of personal effects and keepsakes from his time at NASA’s Manned Spacecraft Center, including badges, photographs, posters, film reels, and more. Highlights include:

- Mitchell’s personal NASA ID badge for the Manned Spacecraft Center, with his Physiological Training certification card
- Laminated ‘Lunar Receiving Laboratory’ access badges for the Apollo 11 and Apollo 14 missions
- Uncommon embroidered ‘Microbiologist’ patch for NASA’s Preventive Medicine Division, with central ‘meatball’ logo
- Two oversized NASA lithographs, 20.75 x 16.75, with iconic images from the Apollo 11 mission
- (12) Oversized glossy composite photographs of the lunar surface taken during the Surveyor program
- Three 12.5˝ film cans, each containing 16mm film reels with matching subject captions: “Analysis of Surveyor Parts Returned on Apollo 12 Mission”

Also included: nine official glossy NASA photographs and seven official NASA lithographs; special edition of the Life magazine’s ‘To the Moon and Back’ issue; stapled NASA manual entitled ‘Aerospace Physiological Training Outline,’ September 1969; Apollo 11 Mission Report booklet (MR-5); article booklet entitled ‘Results of Apollo 11 and 12 Quarantine Studies on Plants’; article booklet entitled ‘Apollo 11: Exposure of Lower Animals to Lunar Material’; NASA booklet entitled ‘On the Moon with Apollo 16: A Guidebook to the Descartes Region’; unused ‘Apollo 11 Lunar Team’ sticker with astronaut Snoopy on his doghouse; GAF slide tray with approximately 80 color slides from the Apollo program; bronze-tone ashtray for the 1976 rollout of the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon; two 7-inch film reels (unknown content), and more. In overall very good to fine condition, with scattered wear of varying degrees to the rolled Surveyor photos and the Apollo charts, which includes creases and tears, and peeling to the laminated access badges.
