Mitchell, a member of the Lunar Receiving Laboratory ‘Lunar Quarantine Team’ for the Apollo program, which includes a variety of personal effects and keepsakes from his time at NASA’s Manned Spacecraft Center, including badges, photographs, posters, film reels, and more. Highlights include:
- Mitchell’s personal NASA ID badge for the Manned Spacecraft Center, with his Physiological Training certification card
- Laminated ‘Lunar Receiving Laboratory’ access badges for the Apollo 11 and Apollo 14 missions
- Uncommon embroidered ‘Microbiologist’ patch for NASA’s Preventive Medicine Division, with central ‘meatball’ logo
