"Flight Achievement Award" certificate; an "Order of Starfighters" certificate recognizing that Mitchell has "passed all qualifications of membership by flying the world's fastest fighter airplane, Lockheed F-104 Starfighter"; a Drexel University "Engineering and Science Award" presented to Edgar Mitchell on February 20, 1974, for "his contribution to and the promotion of research on the 'new' frontier of Noetic Sciences; for his work and leadership in the exploration of the Lunar Surface; and for his continuing quest to expand human frontiers"; and a Kappa Sigma "Distinguished Alumnus Award" presented to Edgar Mitchell on June 2, 2007.
