Appealing group lot of five original silver gelatin photographs of the Wright Brothers and the Wright flyer taken between 1907 and 1910, ranging in size from 6.25 x 4.5 to 6.75 x 4.75, which is highlighted by a press photo of Wilbur Wright seated in his Wright Type A flyer at the Hunaudieres race course near Le Mans, France, in August of 1908, the reverse of which bears a typed caption in German and an "Agence Nouvelle-Photo, A Harlinger," photographer's stamp. Also of note is a photo of Orville Wright seated in a Wright Flyer as he explains the controls to two gentlemen, the reverse dated to 1901. The balance contains images of the Wright Flyer in the air or on the ground, with each bearing “Jacques Boyer” or “Photographie du Journal” stamps on the reverse. In overall fine condition, with faint areas of silvering and some trivial creasing.
