Color first edition of the Gemini 8 Mission Chart, 32.25 x 11, dated January 1966. The chart shows the planned orbital tracks over the Earth's surface, most of which were not completed since an emergency arose and Neil Armstrong had to cut the mission short; many credit his quick thinking on Gemini 8 for his selection as the Apollo 11 commander. Titled in the lower right corner, "Gemini Mission Chart (GMC) 8, Gemini Mission 8." Lithographed by ACIC 2-66, and prepared by the United States Air Force Aeronautical Chart and Information Center. Rolled and in fine condition, with a few slight vertical bends and a bit of wrinkling.
