Scarce limited edition ‘launch day’ cover for the Apollo 13 mission, postmarked at Cape Canaveral on April 11, 1970, signed in blue ballpoint by James Lovell, and in black ink by Jack Swigert and Fred Haise. A window to left side of the cover reveals a sterling silver medallion, 1.25˝ in diameter, with both sides featuring embossed Apollo 13 designs and text: “Apollo XIII, First Abort of Apollo Lunar Mission” and “Redita de Caelis.” The front bears an affixed label marked “Autographed Apollo 13, 30 Produced,” and the reverse is stamped with the initials, “P.M.H.” In fine condition. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from Zarelli Space Authentication.
