LS in German, signed “Rudolf,” one page both sides, 8 x 12, September 2, 1579. Untranslated letter signed at the conclusion by Rudolf II. Retains the address leaf with affixed embossed royal seal. In very good to fine condition, with light staining and toning, and partial splitting along the hinge.
