The Barbizon school founder writes from pastoral France

French painter (1814–1875) known as one of the founders of the Barbizon school. ALS in French, signed “J. F. Millet,” three pages on two adjoining sheets, 5.25 x 8, May 15, 1860. Untranslated handwritten letter by Millet from the village of Barbizon, France, where refined his realist technique. In fine condition.
