Rodgers,” one page, 7.75 x 9.75, November 22, 1834. Letter to Navy Agent Nash Legrand, in part: “You will ascertain a report to Comm’r Warrington if you can procure an immediate conveyance for a small bulk of articles to Rio de Janeiro, viz 1000 fathoms each of 21 - 18, 15, 12 and 9 thread ratline, and sixty mattresses. If such a conveyance can be obtained, you will engage the freight on the most favorable terms for the U. States.” Rodgers also adds his approval signature on the reverse. In fine condition, with thin staining along the bottom horizontal fold.
