Scarce vintage red felt tip signatures, “Harvey Mandel,” “Bob Hite, Canned Heat,” “Al Wilson,” “Larry Taylor, Canned Heat,” “Fito’s Boogie,” and “Henry Vestine, Canned Heat,” on two off-white sheets, handsomely archivally matted and framed under UV with a 'Going Up the Country' picture sleeve (with Vestine on the front) to an overall size of 20.5 x 15.5. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from REAL and a second 'Going Up the Country' 45 RPM sleeve depicting Mandel.
The upper mat opening contains the original Woodstock lineup with Bob 'The Bear' Hite, Alan 'Blind Owl' Wilson, Harvey 'The Snake' Mandel, Larry 'The Mole' Taylor, and Adolfo 'Fito' de la Parra. Henry 'The Sunflower' Vestine, whose autograph appears below, left the band in July 1969, occasionally returning to Canned Heat in ensuing years. The 'Woodstock' lineup of Canned Heat existed only from July 1969, when Harvey Mandel replaced Vestine in the group, to September 1970, when Alan Wilson—a member of the infamous '27 club'—died of a barbiturate overdose.
