On April 9, 1969, the British-built Concorde 002 prototype supersonic airliner made its first flight, taking off from Filton Airport, just north of Bristol, England, and landing at RAF Fairford, 50 miles northeast. Encapsulated and graded by PSA as "PASS VG 3" (POP 1).
