Description

Partly-printed DS as president, signed “M. Van Buren,” one page, 8 x 9.75, March 31, 1840. President Van Buren directs the "Secretary of State to affixed the Seal of the United States to an Exequatur for Charles Tydeman Lowndes as Consul of the Dukedom of Oldenburg, for the port of Charleston in the State of South Carolina." In fine condition.
