Civil War–dated hand-addressed mailing envelope, 5.5 x 3, addressed by George A. Custer to his soon-to-be wife, "Miss Libbie Bacon, Monroe, Michigan," and postmarked at Washington, January 22, 1864. In fine condition. George Custer and Elizabeth Bacon were married in Monroe at the First Presbyterian Church on February 9, 1864. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder.
