World War II-dated TLS as president signed “F.D.R.,” one page, 6.5 x 6.25, White House letterhead, January 12, 1942. Letter to his former law partner, Harry Hooker, in part: "Those shirts are grand and much needed. They are really the most comfortable shirts I have and I am delighted that you keep me supplied. I shall guard the bottle carefully until your next visit when we can enjoy it together. You were, as always, kind to remember me at Christmas and I am most appreciative." Archivally double-matted and framed with two plaques and a portrait to an overall size of 22 x 16.5. In fine condition, with a light paperclip impression and two filing holes to the top edge.
