Handwritten to an 'admiral,' in full: "I have to thank you for two letters & for the care you have taken of mes petites affaires. The £15 have been duly remitted… I am very glad you are enjoying fine weather in Scotland. We are not so fortunate here." Affixed to a slightly larger cardstock sheet and in fine condition.
