Mayer," seventeen pages, 8.5 x 13, January 5, 1938. Agreement between Timokin and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer by which the composer is engaged "to render his exclusive services for the producer…in connection with one photoplay." Neatly signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by Dimitri Tiomkin and countersigned by Louis B. Mayer. Stapled into its original brown paper legal folder. In fine condition. A scarce and significant early contract from the beginning of Tiomkin's career in Hollywood. He would become renowned for his lush, emotive film scores, receiving 22 Academy Award nominations while winning four Oscars.
