Handsomely engraved stock certificate for one share in the American Express Company, issued to Christopher Morgan. Signed at the conclusion by Henry Wells as president, William Fargo as secretary, and Alex Holland as treasurer. In very good to fine condition, with fading to Fargo's signature, and light toning over much of the document affecting appearance. Accompanied by a stock certificate for ten shares in the Merchants Union Express Co., November 11, 1867, signed by J. N. Knapp and E. P. Ross.
