Handwritten working lyrics by Prince for the song ‘4 Lust,’ an unreleased duet by Jill Jones and Prince that is believed to have been recorded in June 1985. Written in pencil on an off-white 8 x 10.5 sheet of notebook paper, the unsigned lyrics, no date, entitled “What would I do 4 Lust?,” read as follows: “4 Lust I would call ya / beg U 2 come over / just 2 sleep with me / 4 lust I would caress the pillows in my bed dreamin erotic fantasies / 4 lust I would get naked [undress] outside your window and hope that U will notice me / I’d ask ‘Do U like what U see?’ / 4 lust I would fondle the full length of my temple or would U like 2 do that / would U then crave me (4 me?).” A central boxed section marked “Suggestion” reads: “U could blindfold me tie me up & scold me / spin me around til I fall / whatever makes U happy / I would do it gladly / 4 lust & 4 U I do it all.” Prince continues below: “4 Lust I would strip ya in my Daddy’s Thunderbird & I'd play with things U never knew U had / 4 lust I’d pin U against a cherry tree & do something rad with your body / 4 lust I’d lay atop a grand piano & let U C what U wanna C & if U play the music I know how 2 use it / I'd do a funky dance 4 U / called the strip tease.” In fine condition. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from REAL.
