Letter to “Bob,” his Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara, in full: “I’ve already told you – but just for the record – Happy Birthday! You know how much I think of you, need you, and admire you. Few men so young as you have done more for this country. That’s why yesterday was a good day for us all.” In very fine condition. A desirable letter between two formidable figures of modern American history, an example augmented by its uncommon ‘LBJ' signature.
