Group lot of four items related to 19th-century business and military figures and companies:

James Fisk, Jr. Carte-de-Visite Photograph
Appealing 2.25 x 3.75 carte-de-visite portrait of Col. James Fisk, Jr. in uniform, handsomely mounted, cloth-matted, and framed with a biographical plaque to an overall size of 14 x 18.5. In fine condition. Colorful American financier (1834-1872) who made his fortune on army contracts during the Civil War, then played a leading role in triggering the 'Black Friday' financial crisis of 1869. He was shot and killed after becoming involved in a scandalous romantic triangle.

Southern Steam Packet Receipt (1861)
Civil War-era partly-printed document, one page, 8.25 x 3.25, April 23, 1861. Receipt for a freight shipment aboard the "Steamer Warrior," nicely mounted, cloth-matted, and framed with a plaque to an overall size of 16.5 x 16. In fine condition.

James Conning Silver Repair Receipt
Manuscript receipt for repair of "breast pins" from James Conning, an importer of jewelry, watches, silverware, guns, pistols, and other goods based in Mobile, Alabama, one page, 8 x 4.5, no date but circa 1850s. Nicely cloth-matted and framed with an engraved plaque to an overall size of 16.5 x 16.5. In fine condition.

United States Light Artillery: Accounting Ledger (1818)
Partly-printed DS, one page, 15.25 x 9.75, August 4, 1818. Accounting ledger of the amount received of Charles Tallmadge, paymaster of the United States Light Artillery, to cover pay, forage, clothing, and subsistence from March–July 1818, totaling $529.10. Nicely cloth-matted and framed with a descriptive plaque to an overall size of 23.75 x 25. In fine condition.
