Partly-printed 1964 Cavern Club membership application form, signed "Pete Best, The Beatles, 1960-1962," one page, 6.75 x 8, filled out and signed later in blue felt tip by original Beatles drummer. In part: "I Pete Best of Casbah Coffee Club, 8 Haymans Green, Liverpool 12, wish to apply to the Cavern Club for membership." In fine condition, with a JSA label affixed to the lower corner. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from JSA and an unsigned portrait of the group.
Best played with the Beatles during their early performances at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, where they honed their sound and built a loyal local fanbase. However, in 1962, Best was replaced by Ringo Starr, just before The Beatles gained international fame.
