Freelance television film writer's contract between Arena Productions and Gene Roddenberry, engaging him to work on a "Story based on 'The Lieutenant' series." Signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint by Gene Roddenberry, and countersigned by a secretary from the production company. In fine condition, with a PSA/DNA label affixed to the lower right corner and the accompanying certificate of authenticity from PSA/DNA taped to the reverse.
The first television series created by Gene Roddenberry, The Lieutenant ran from September 14, 1963 to April 18, 1964. The series featured guest appearances by several actors who would later work on Star Trek, including Majel Barrett, Leonard Nimoy, Nichelle Nichols, and Walter Koenig.
