British actress (1755-1831) who became the queen of the stage, unrivaled as a tragedienne. ALS signed “S. Siddons,” one page, 4.5 x 7.25, no date. Handwritten letter to Richard Brinsley Sheridan, playwright and owner of the London Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, in part: "Have you spoken about about [sic] a little corner in the Theatre as you were so glad as to promise." Addressed on the reverse by Siddons to "R. B. Sheridan." In fine condition, with a small stain, and some seal-related paper loss to the integral address leaf. A desirable association piece.
