Austrian noblewoman (1871–1889) and the mistress of Rudolf, Crown Prince of Austria; the two were found dead at his hunting lodge in Mayerling on January 30, 1889, following an apparent murder-suicide. Original 3.75 x 5.5 mounted albumen photograph of Baroness Mary Vetsera, identified at the top in another hand. In very good to fine condition, with light scuffing and scratching to the emulsion. Consignor notes that the photo originates from the collection of Count Alexander Keller.
