Orville Wright pays a Wright Flyer mechanic and aeronautic inventor

City National Bank of Dayton counter check, 8.75 x 3, filled out in another hand and signed by Wright, "Orville Wright," payable to James Jacobs for $150, April 8, 1927, and endorsed on the reverse by Jacobs. In fine condition. Encapsulated and graded by PSA/DNA as "MINT 9." Jacobs worked various jobs as chief mechanic, engineer, and executive for the Wright Company, working on the Wright Flyer and developing aeronautical inventions such as split-flap and the self-sealing gas tank; he also served as a pallbearer for Wilbur Wright.
