Two TLSs from Richard Nixon, one signed “RN” and the other signed “Dick Nixon,” both one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, both addressed to famed psychic and astrologer Jeanne Dixon. The earlier letter, dated January 6, 1986, in part: “Pat and I want you to know how deeply we appreciated your remembering us so thoughtfully and so generously during the Christmas season. We both agree that there is no gift we could receive which is more precious than this expression of your continued loyal friendship over the years.” The second letter, from February 13, 1979, in full: “Your criticisms of the quotes attributed to me in the Post article is right on target! I appreciated your frankness which is always the mark of a good friend. Pat joins me in sending our best wishes for 1979.” Nixon adds handwritten salutations to both letters. In overall fine condition, with a rusty paperclip impression to the top edge of the later letter. Accompanied by the original mailing envelopes (one bearing a printed free frank) and a glossy 8 x 10 photo of Nixon and Dixon conversing with each other at an event.
