Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Record Mecca's Jeff Gold, in part: "Featuring one of the most striking images of the Rolling Stones ever, this poster has been reprinted and counterfeited in various sizes. This example, however, is guaranteed to be an unused original 1971 first printing. Photographer David Montgomery captured the Stones half naked, or in Mick Jagger's case, fully naked, displaying Andy Warhol's iconic Sticky Fingers album cover. Montgomery is an internationally known portrait photographer, best known in the music world for his album covers for Jimi Hendrix (the UK version of Electric Ladyland, with nude women) and The Who (The Who Sell Out.)." Sticky fingers is widely considered one of the band’s best albums, as it was their first album to reach No. 1 on both the UK and U.S. album charts.
