Alan Bean’s collection of 39 pieces of space-related ephemera and accessories, including lapel pins, pendants, tie clips, pinback buttons, and a dog tag, ranging in size from .5˝ x .5˝ to 2.25˝ in diameter. The items feature designs related to notable aeronautical events, programs, and spacecraft, including Apollo missions 9, 11, 12, 14, and 17, Skylab, the Apollo–Soyuz Test Project, the Space Shuttle, and the Apollo command module. Other pieces include a winged ‘Space Pilot’ compass pin, an Air Medal HJF Gala 2004 pin, a Neil Armstrong Air & Space Museum dog tag, a 9/11 lapel pin, a ‘Launch Guest’ Kennedy Space Center button, and two Apollo 14 lapel pins with their original backing sheets identifying them as being from the personal collection of Apollo 14 moonwalker Edgar Mitchell, whose facsimile signature is on both sheets. Several items are in their original bags or wrappers. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Amy Bean, the daughter of Alan Bean.
