Unusual Apollo 14 launch day cover with a cachet honoring the 'Man on the Moon,' postmarked at Kennedy Space Center on January 31, 1971, signed on the reverse in black felt tip by three Apollo astronauts, including the first man on the moon: "Neil Armstrong, Apollo 11," "Jack Swigert, Apollo 13," and "Dave Scott, Apollo 9." Addressed in type to Kevin Steen, a cancer-stricken boy who was a special guest at two Apollo liftoffs and was invited onboard the recovery ship for Apollo 17. In fine condition. Accompanied by photocopies of 1972 newspaper articles about Steen, documenting his unique involvement in the Apollo program. A spectacular and uncommon grouping of large, bold vintage autographs of three Apollo pioneers.
