Exceptional Apollo 15 launch day cover with a cachet honoring the 'Man on the Moon,' postmarked at Kennedy Space Center on July 26, 1971, signed in black ink by the crew—Dave Scott, Jim Irwin, and Al Worden—and also signed on the reverse by a dozen more astronauts, including two moonwalkers: Alan Bean, Edgar Mitchell, Ron Evans, Fred Haise (twice), Stu Roosa, Karl G. Henize, Gordon Fullerton, Jerry Carr, Don Lind, Jack Lousma, and Tony England. Addressed in type to Kevin Steen, a cancer-stricken boy who was a special guest at two Apollo liftoffs and was invited onboard the recovery ship for Apollo 17. In fine condition. Accompanied by photocopies of 1972 newspaper articles about Steen, documenting his unique involvement in the Apollo program.
