AMQS on an off-white 5.25 x 3.5 album page, neatly signed and dated below in ink, "London [1]911, Giacomo Puccini." Puccini pens two bars from his opera La Bohème. In fine condition, with trimmed edges and a vertical fold. Based on a story by French writer Henri Murger set in 1840s Paris, La Boheme was Puccini's first major success—making him rich and famous—and arguably his greatest work. After its 1896 debut in Turin, the piece was quickly adopted into the international repertory.
