ALS in French, one page, 5.2 x 8.25, July 15, 1867. Handwritten letter to Louise-Aglaë Massart, pianist, teacher, and wife of eminent violinist Lambert Massart. In part (translated): "Allow me to recommend to you Miss Thimont, professor of piano in Vienne (Isère), who is very hopeful to take lessons from you. I beg you, do all that you can for her, as she is worthy in all respects of your interest, and I would be also grateful to you as if I myself were worthy of it." In very good to fine condition, with overall creasing, and splitting to the ends of the intersecting folds.
