Woolrich cedes to "two thousand offered" for his short story All At Once, No Alice

ALS, 6 x 9, Hotel Marseilles letterhead, February 3, 1946. Handwritten letter to his literary agent, H. N. Swanson, in full: “Okay, take the two thousand offered for ‘No Alice’ if you can’t get them to better it.” In fine condition. Woolrich’s short story All At Once, No Alice, was first published in Argosy Magazine in March 1940, under the name William Irish. The story was later used for the 1948 mystery film noir The Return of the Whistler.
