American merchant and statesman (1741–1811) who represented Pennsylvania in the Continental Congress, the Constitutional Convention, and the US Congress. ALS signed “Thos. Fitzsimons,” one page, 7.5 x 9, July 31, 1786. Addressed from Philadelphia, a handwritten letter to Nicholas Low of New York, in full: “I have your favor of the 27. I am sorry to find our friends Hove & Harrison are in so bad a predicament. I wrote them some time ago but have never heard from them on the subject. Mr. Butler going to New York I have ventured to draw on you his favor at 10 days for 92 dolls Which you will be pleased to honor.” In fine condition.
