Description

ADS signed twice, “A. Burr” and “AB,” one page, 5 x 8, July 15, 1815. Handwritten letter to Thomas L. Ogden regarding a case with merchant Louis LeGuen, in part: “I have this day rec’d a copy of the endorsements on the Bond which is the subject of this suit — but a list of the securities therein mentioned has not accompanied those endorsements as was expected…Do me the favor also to inform me whether you are authorized to admit any other credits or payments than those ordered.” Burr signs at the conclusion with his initials and incorporates his signature into the case name in the upper left corner. In very good to fine condition, with scattered staining, and one tiny hole near the left edge.
