Description

DS, signed “Elizabeth R.,” one page both sides, 8 x 12.5, May 6, 1955. Royal pardon from Queen Elizabeth directed to “Our Justices for the Petty Sessional Division of Stamford Borough,” pardoning and remitting a fine of 10 shillings against Douglas Haigh White, who “was convicted of driving a motor vehicle without a current driving licence.” Signed in the upper border in fountain pen by the queen. Framed to an overall size of 9.75 x 14.25; window to frame backing reveals the back of document. In fine condition, with some faint staining in the margins.
