Interesting nine-piece tea set presented to MGM prop man Lewis Crolley upon his retirement, highlighted by the 24.5˝ x 16˝ serving tray, handsomely and ornately engraved with facsimile signatures of Katharine Hepburn, Spencer Tracy, Clarence Brown, and George Cukor, with at presentation inscription above: "To Lewis Crolley." Engraved at the center are the names of three films: "'Pretty Ladies' 1925, 'Romance' 1930, 'Pat and Mike' 1952." The set includes three different teapots, two sugar bowls, a creamer, and a teapot stand with warmer. Maker's marks read: "E.PN.S. / Made in England." In overall very good to fine condition, with various dings, scuffs, and some tarnishing.
