ALS, one page, 7.25 x 8.75, July 13, 1797. Handwritten letter to "Mr. D. Gilman," in part: "I enclose a note for four Hundred Dolls. at the same time forward $202.20 to pay the installment and discount. I must again solicit another instance of your goodness to pass through the usual forms. I have rec'd no further advices from the Ship; shall probably see you in three or four weeks." In very good condition, with scattered old tape stains, edge tears, and minor edge loss.
