Complete issue of the New York Herald from March 25, 1862, twelve pages, 15.5 x 22, with the front page dedicated to coverage of "What General Burnside Has Accomplished," featuring a large map of the "scene of operations on the coast of North Carolina, from Elizabeth City to Beaufort." The newspaper offers further particulars on the abandonment of Beaufort, the blowing up of Fort Macon, and the destruction of the rebel privateer Nashville. In very good to fine condition, with some tears and losses to edges, and binding holes along the left edge.
